Fall 2023 Newsletter
The TEXAS YES Project loves building lifelong partnerships with businesses and individuals, who are passionate about working together to provide essential resources for student success. In 2022, the TEXAS YES team met Mark Dubay, Business Transformation Manager for Frost Bank. Through this partnership, TEXAS YES received generous support for our Giving Tuesday 2022 charity fundraiser.
Here’s why Dubay says he supports and values the TEXAS YES Project.
“In 2022, my company Frost Bank, was approached to assist with a charity fundraiser. As a captain, I immediately raised my hand to assist. After performing research upon the TEXAS YES organization, I quickly realized that this group is all about the students! As a parent, I was drawn to the various programs that are offered and supported by the organization. I started to chat with Irene first. She seemed to have all of the answers and I stayed in touch with her as we worked the logistics of the first event. The bank was asked to support a second event quickly after establishing a great rapport with the first event. The second event needed twice the logistics to be completed. After executing the events, I realized I was working with a small staff that “made it happen” and I grew to appreciate the team and the purpose of the organization. For the remainder of 2022, I kept in touch with both Irene and Mercedes to learn the most about what TEXAS YES has to offer the students. We have two events in 2023 already being staffed and I look forward to continuing to build this partnership with TEXAS YES.”
