As we work through a season of uncertainty and rising inflationary costs, several families are left worrying about how they will get their next meal or feed their children. Thousands of Texans lean on their local food bank to fill this need. In response to the immense demand, four nonprofit organizations in Texas teamed up to ensure that families have access to everyday essentials.

The new raffle and online auction “Gas and Groceries For Life” was formed to benefit each of our four markets along with the San Antonio Food Bank, North Texas Food Bank and the Central Texas Food Bank. The raffle lasted from August 28, 2022 to October 7, 2022, giving participants the option of purchasing one ticket for $25, three tickets for $50, or 10 for $100. On October 13, 2022 the two grand winners Jean Ogden from San Antonio and Daniel Stevens from Austin were presented with a $50,000 groceries gift card and a $25,000 gas gift card, thanks to the kind donation of prominent injury attorney and philanthropist Thomas J. Henry.
