Taco Palenque Helps Raise Over $13K to Support TEXAS YES and Title I Students

Taco Palenque and its generous guests once again showed up for Texas students in a big way. Throughout the month of March, participating Taco Palenque locations in San Antonio and Corpus Christi raised a total of $13,746 to support TEXAS YES Project and its mission to support Title I students across the state.

For the second year in a row, Taco Palenque invited its guests to join the cause by adding a $1 or $5 donation to their orders. As a visual show of appreciation, guests’ names were displayed on book-shaped decals throughout the restaurants.

These donations will help fund TEXAS YES’ signature programs: Box of Dreams, Little Lockers, and YES Grants.

The Box of Dreams initiative is the first of these programs to kick off in the coming months. This effort provides students with essential school supplies, helping them show up on day one confident and ready to learn. While specific distribution dates are still being finalized, the funds raised by Taco Palenque guests will directly impact the number of students reached.

A Model for Community Partnership

This ongoing partnership with Taco Palenque highlights the power of local businesses stepping up to support their communities. Their efforts not only raise essential funds but also awareness of the challenges Title I schools face and how we can all be part of the solution.

At TEXAS YES, we believe community partnerships are key to long-term impact. Taco Palenque’s involvement proves just how much can be achieved when we work together toward a shared mission.

Looking Ahead

We’re proud to continue growing our partnership with Taco Palenque and look forward to what we can accomplish together in the future. As we prepare for another impactful year of programs, we’re also excited to welcome more local businesses who want to give back and make a lasting difference for Texas students!
