On Monday, October 24th, TEXAS YES awarded Dallas ISD 6 grants with an overall amount of $59,000. The grants awarded ranged from elementary to high school with a purpose of purchasing new equipment such as iPads, printers, microscopes, cameras, library books, chicken coops and updating equipment for their science lab and ceramics program.
The award ceremony was held at Dallas ISD STEM Environmental Education Center.
2022 Grant Award Recipients
YES GRANT
TEXAS STEAM Grant – Presented by Thomas J. Henry

Our students will have ready access to more high-quality library materials. Studies show that when students engage with high-quality reading materials at a young age, they are more likely to be readers as they grow up. The impact of literacy on children’s education cannot be overstated.
On Thursday, October 27th, TEXAS YES awarded 14 grants to Seguin ISD, San Antonio ISD, Harlandale ISD, South San ISD, Edgewood ISD, Comal ISD, Austin Achieve Public Schools, Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio, and Harmony School of Excellence with an overall amount of $108,000. These grants awarded ranged from elementary to high school with a purpose of purchasing new equipment such as drums, library books, virtual reality headsets, surface pros & hotspots and updating equipment for their science/computer lab, STEM club, and robotics programs.

The equipment awarded by the YES Grant will aid in developing physical fitness, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create a positive social-emotional environment for students.
